Program - Japan Culture Week 2023 (English)

2023/10/4

The Embassy of Japan in Albania, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of Albania, will organize Japanese Cultural Week from 16 to 21 October. We will hold three events – Japanese Film Festival, Japanese Classic Concert and the Ambassador’s Cup (Japanese martial arts).
The Japanese Film Festival will feature five films produced in Japan. From a story of friendship between young boxers made in the 1960s to a contemporary comedy about a samurai who has an order to assassinate a cat, you can get a taste of Japan’s rich film culture.
At the Japanese Classic Concert, you’ll hear a fusion of Western and Japanese music.
The Ambassador’s Cup is a competition of Japanese martial arts – karate and judo. Many Albanians play karate and judo, and the Japanese Ambassador awards medals. The event is a symbol of cultural exchange between Japan and Albania.
We hope you will come, see, touch and enjoy Japanese Culture more and look forward to seeing you at the events.
